Holography tips

Origin of Holography

Holography is a word composed of the terms holo- and -graphy. The first, used as a prefix, derives from the Greek ολος, "all" and has the meaning of everything, whole, total or entirely. The second term, used as a suffix, derives from the Greek γραϕη, “to write”, and means writing, drawing, description, treatise and the like. Therefore the term holography indicates a method of description, graphic or iconographic, complete with an object.
Background
Holography was theorized in 1947 by the Hungarian scientist Dennis Gabor (1900-1979), who, using the & quot; green & quot; light of the spectrogram of a mercury vapor lamp, the best source of coherent light at the time, he created the first rudimentary holograms on photographic films, in which the object wave and the reference wave were parallel. These, however, contained distortions and spurious images due to the poor coherence of the light used and therefore holography did not have significant developments until the early 1960s, when the first lasers were built, coherent monochromatic light sources, ideal for optical holography.
Today the term hologram is associated with the concept of a three-dimensional image created by a physical structure that diffracts light in an image projected into space.

Give yourself a wonderful hologram and a million emotions...
